CSIR International Convention Centre scores full marks for hygiene 10 December 2009 The CSIR International Convention Centre (ICC) scored 100% on hygiene in a report released by Food Consulting Services (FCS), as well as outstanding results in food safety and facility maintenance. "I'm delighted with our results," said CSIR ICC beverage and food manager Dieter Botha. "It is imperative that our clients have peace of mind that their personal health is well taken care of." FCS makes unannounced visits to the CSIR ICC on a quarterly basis each year to conduct hygiene and food tests. Under FCS's guidance, action plans are immediately put in place for any areas that need attention, enabling the CSIR ICC to constantly improve on its results. "Hygiene, however, requires our ongoing attention, and hence we strive to create a constant awareness and understanding amongst all staff members of the importance of upholding these high standards," Botha explained. CS is an independent, professional hygiene and food testing laboratory established in 1977. The aim of the company is to form a strong partnership with all its clients and help them implement quality assurance hygiene systems and good manufacturing practices within their food production facilities.
