CSIR International Convention Centre offers a unique ambience and unlimited opportunities for special year-end functions

The CSIR International Convention Centre (CSIR ICC) has thirteen exciting venues tailor-made for spectacular year-end functions. Each venue's seating and set up can be customised to accommodate organisers' special requests.

A major drawcard at the CSIR ICC is the wooden deck for alfresco dining that is set amongst lush indigenous bush. The deck incorporates a fully equipped braai area and the Centre's chefs can provide guests with an authentic African braai experience underneath the stars in the natural bush.

Setting the CSIR ICC apart from other venues, is the personal attention of its highly professional event coordinators. Their assistance can range from organising entertainment and décor to booking accommodation for guests, if required. The Centre's experienced chefs offer a great variety of menus, each with its own distinctive flair.

The Centre is a multi-function venue which has hosted an array of functions and events. The flexibility of its exhibition hall was recently put to the test when the Centre hosted a truck launch, which saw guests enjoying a banquet at tables alongside gleaming truck cabs stationed inside the venue, with acrobats suspended from the ceiling high above them.

The Centre also recently hosted an exciting carnival-themed event for a company whose guests included partners and children. Besides a potjiekos competition that was set up in the lush gardens of the Centre, some venues were turned into game arcades equipped with the latest electronic games for the bigger children. Special entertainment was brought in to amuse the smaller children and keep them entertained.
