ICC staff thanked for performance and embrace the FIFA World Cup 30 June 2010 The CSIR International Convention Centre (CSIR ICC) recently invited its employees to a staff event thanking them for their good performance of the previous financial year (the ICC managed to perform well despite the recession and its construction project). The Centre also did its part in embracing the Soccer World cup and celebrating South Africa as the hosting nation of the World Cup. Words of encouragement and appreciation for the staff's performance from Glenn Harding, ICC General Manager, officially opened the event. The ICC staff wore their soccer outfits and had vuvuzelas in hand. The event was full of activities with the ICC's own Drogbas and Tshabalalas getting a chance to showcase their soccer skills through a penalty shoot out competition, the winner walked away with a full proudly South Africa soccer supporter tool kit. A sight worth seeing was when everybody with their South African national flag coloured scarves got to the dance floor to learn the diski dance which became the dance of the day as anticipation for the opening games to begin grew.
